Want to do business in Amazon, register a seller account, this is relatively simple, but the follow-up work is relatively complicated. For example, brand filing, VAT, account management, etc. ~~~ In the face of the world's largest e-commerce website, natural business opportunities are full, of course, we must also face the world's super powerful competitors, are you ready?

First, select the account type

1, the general seller: small-scale sellers, monthly sales below 40 commodities.

Cost: $0.99 / commission per item, a little transaction fee.

2, professional sellers: large-scale sellers, monthly sales of more than 40 commodities.

Cost: $39.9/month of store monthly rent, independent transaction fee.

Second, the registered account

1. Seller name

The name the consumer sees, there are fixed product recommendations related to the brand name, and there are no specific types available.

2, legal name and address

If you are a registered company, you must use your real name and registered address.

3, contact information, email

Notification of changes to Amazon's notifications, services, and technologies

Customer information channel

If you have a customer-specific contact, the contact information for Amazon and Customers can be different.

4. Bank account information

The funds that Amazon sells are stored on the account first, and will be settled after a certain period of time, and the money will be remitted to a fixed account. If the account is blocked, the money inside will be beautiful.

Before You Register

Decide what you want to sell

More than 20 product categories are open to all sellers, and at least 10 more are available only to Professional Sellers.

Learn more about product categories ›

Choose a selling plan

With two selling plans, Amazon offers you the flexibility to sell one, or one thousand. The Professional plan gives you the opportunity to sell an unlimited number of products and pay a $39.99 monthly subscription fee. Individuals pay no monthly fees, but instead pay $0.99 per item sold. Both Professionals and Individuals pay other selling fees when an item sells. Learn more about plans and pricing

Register and start listing

Create your account on Seller Central, the Web interface where you will also manage your selling account.

After You Register

Once you have registered, Selling on Amazon is a simple four-step process.

1. List

You can add products to the Amazon Marketplace catalog one at a time, or if you have a Professional selling subscription, you can add large batches of items using bulk tools.

Two ways to list products

1. List products already on Amazon.com

Indicate how many products you have to sell, condition of the product(s), and shipping options

2. List products not yet on Amazon.com

  • Identify UPC/EAN and SKU
  • List products attributes - for example title, description

2. Sell

After you list your offers, customers can see them on Amazon.com. With features like 1-Click and a brand millions trust, Amazon helps customers make quick, easy, worry-free purchases. Make sure that when customers see your offer it is accurate and complete, including high-quality product images.

3. Ship

Amazon notifies you when customers place an order. Use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and let Amazon do the shipping—or handle shipping yourself.

4. Get Paid

Amazon deposits payment into your bank account at regular intervals and notifies you that your payment has been sent.

You'll need a sellers account to really get the most out of selling on Amazon, they've really gotten big-headed and made it difficult for sellers. Everything needs a UPC now, certain catergories like topicals are going to need approval to list in. Its a headache and sometimes all for your competitors to leave bad reviews that'll live on as long as Amazon does. Depending on what you're selling it may be smart to just stay away from Amazon if you have alternate platforms.

I see many answers to this question but still I want to add 2 things.

1. I recommend working with your own brand, the so called 'private label'. People like when they buy something unique.

2. You can always order your product in China. However, do not forget to order a sample of your product first. Chinese manufacturers make good products but not always). You should be sure that the product your are going to sell is of high quality.

  1. Find a product that you want to sell on Amazon.
  2. List the product for sale on Amazon.
  3. Prepare the item to be shipped to a Fulfillment by Amazon warehouse.
  4. Box up your items and ship them to the warehouse location that Amazon assigns.

The question of “how to start selling on Amazon” is one that I get asked often.  I have written many posts about how to sell on Amazon successfully, but never a comprehensive guide to selling on Amazon made especially for beginners.  This post will start at step one and let you know what it takes to make money selling on Amazon.

My goal with this post is to show you the full process of what it takes to sell on Amazon.  After reading this post I believe you will have enough information to decide if selling on Amazon is something that you wish to pursue.

More about this question can find at amazon site

If the product you want to sell is already sold on Amazon, you can just list the item. If not, you will need the item’s UPC/EAN and SKU — these are codes that will help Amazon identify the item.

You then fill out how many products you have to sell, the condition of the products, and the shipping options.

You can choose to fulfill the shipping yourself or you can choose Fulfillment by Amazon. If you handle shipping yourself, you need to make sure products are sent out quickly and are packed well. Fulfillment by Amazon means you are charged a fee but it simplifies the process for you. You just send your product/products to your indicated Fulfillment by Amazon warehouse where it is stored until the item is sold. Amazon then packages and ships the item to the for you.

To sell on Amazon, you can either pay a monthly merchant fee $40 or sell as an individual and pay $1 per each item sold. Which option you choose will depend on how much of your product you are selling.

I hope this was helpful and here’s more information on Amazon’s own page about how to start selling.
